Managing Your Subscription
This guide covers how to upgrade, downgrade, pause, resume, or cancel your RankGood subscription.

Viewing Your Current Plan
Navigate to Settings > Subscription to see:
Your current plan name and tier
Billing period (monthly or yearly)
Next billing date
Current usage vs. plan limits
Active add-ons

Upgrading Your Plan
To move to a higher tier:
Go to Settings > Subscription.
Click Change Plan.
Select the new plan tier.
Review the pricing difference.
Confirm the upgrade.
Upgrades take effect immediately. You will be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the current billing period.
Downgrading Your Plan
To move to a lower tier:
Go to Settings > Subscription.
Click Change Plan.
Select the lower plan tier.
Review the changes (which features and limits will be reduced).
Confirm the downgrade.
Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain full access to your current plan until then.
If your downgraded plan has lower limits (fewer keywords, fewer clients), you may need to remove items that exceed the new limits.
Canceling a Pending Downgrade
If you changed your mind about a pending downgrade:
Go to Settings > Subscription.
You will see a notice about the pending downgrade.
Click Cancel Downgrade to keep your current plan.
Switching Between Monthly and Yearly Billing
Go to Settings > Subscription.
Click Change Plan.
Toggle between monthly and yearly billing.
Yearly billing saves approximately 17% compared to monthly.
Pausing Your Subscription
If you need to take a break without losing your account:
Go to Settings > Subscription.
Click Pause Subscription.
Select a pause duration.
Confirm.
While paused:
You retain access to your account and data
No charges are made
Active scans and schedules are suspended
You cannot use features that consume scan quotas
Resuming a Paused Subscription
Go to Settings > Subscription.
Click Resume Subscription.
Billing resumes immediately.
Canceling Your Subscription
Go to Settings > Subscription.
Click Cancel Subscription.
Confirm the cancellation.
After cancellation:
Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period.
After the period ends, your account is downgraded to a limited state.
Your data is retained for a period as per the data retention policy.
You can resubscribe at any time to restore full access.
Applying a Discount Code
If you have a promotional discount code:
Go to Settings > Subscription.
Click Apply Discount.
Enter your discount code.
The discount is applied to your next billing cycle.
Stripe Billing Portal
For detailed invoice management, payment method updates, and billing history:
Go to Settings > Subscription.
Click Manage Billing to open the Stripe billing portal.
From the Stripe portal you can:
View and download invoices
Update your payment method
View payment history
Update billing address

For Agency Plans
Agency subscription management is done at the organization level:
Only the Agency Admin (organization owner) can change the plan.
Plan limits are shared across all team members and clients.
See Agency Settings > Billing for agency-specific management.
