Setting Up Your First Product

Why Products Matter

When RankGood's AI analyzes Reddit discussions, generates engagement responses, or checks your AI visibility, it needs context about what you offer. Your product profile provides this context so that:

• Pain points are relevant to your market

• Opportunities are scored based on how well they match your product

• Generated responses naturally reference your value propositions

• AI visibility checks use the right brand terms

Creating a Product

Navigate to Settings > Products and click Add Product.

Option 1: Analyze a URL

1. Enter your product's website URL.

2. Click Analyze.

3. RankGood's AI will visit the page and extract key details including product name, description, features, and target audience.

4. Review the extracted information and make any adjustments.

5. Click Save.

This is the fastest way to set up a product with accurate information.

Option 2: Upload a Document

1. Click Upload Document.

2. Upload a PDF, pitch deck, or product brief (max 10MB).

3. The AI will extract product information from the document.

4. Review and adjust the extracted details.

5. Click Save.

This is useful if your product information is in a slide deck or internal document rather than on a public webpage.

Option 3: Enter Manually

Fill in the product form directly:

Editing a Product

To update an existing product:

1. Go to Settings > Products.

2. Click on the product you want to edit.

3. Modify any field.

4. Click Save.

Changes take effect immediately for all future analyses. Past reports and analyses retain the product information used at the time they were created.

Managing Multiple Products

Your plan determines how many products you can create:

To switch between products throughout the app, use the Product Selector in the sidebar. All features will show data relevant to the currently selected product.

Deleting a Product

To remove a product:

1. Go to Settings > Products.

2. Click the product you want to remove.

3. Click Delete Product.

4. Confirm the deletion.

Deleting a product does not remove historical reports or analyses associated with it.
